October 2007, Ventura Transfer Company, a pioneer in the bulk transloading and distribution of products shipped throughout the United States, today announced that their website was reviewed alongside several other corporate websites. VTC’s site received excellent ratings. The independent evaluation, performed by industry expert, Mike Foster, was conducted at a monthly meeting of the Southern California Vistage group of CEOs.
Each website was evaluated on key criteria that included; keyword density, Google ranking, Alexa ranking, number of inbound links, meta tags, use of ALT tags and site security. “The VTC site came up very high for targeted search keywords.” said Mike Foster, founder of The Foster Institute. “I really liked everything about the site and was quite impressed with it.” Foster travels the world advising corporations on IT security and website performance. He is a well-known expert in IT security and IT best practices and the author of the soon to be published The Secure CEO - How To Protect Your Computer Systems, Your Company, and Your Job.
The overall results indicated that VTC had executed well on current SEO practices and that the navigation and user interface were excellent.
“Mike’s evaluation of our website gave us a sigh of relief,” said Brian Oken, CEO of Ventura Transfer Company. “We’ve worked closely with our agency, Grabiner/Hall, to create an information rich site for customers and prospects. In our industry, quality information is key to making cost-effective decisions, and our website has been designed to educate and to inform.”
